Aryeh Copa digging a trench on fresh corduroy while night skiing at Steamboat Resort.“At a major trauma center in Seattle after a severe complete knee dislocation the doctors said I was lucky to keep my leg but I would never ski again. I laughed at them and told them to get me back to Steamboat. I have been skiing over 100 days a year ever since. Thanks Eric.”

“This new MRI is really going to help our town!

Brian Smith is a knowledgeable patient and experienced MRI Technologist. He has worked for a number of years as an MRI Technologist and had also been a patient previously undergoing a MRI scan.

Experiencing chronic knee pain from many years of playing hard at football, racquetball and basketball, Brian came to the physicians at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C., for an MRI scan and consultation.

Brian recently offered these impressions on the MRI experience elsewhere and the MRI experience with the new state of the art extremity MRI unit at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C.,;

I am claustrophobic and had previously rubbed my shoulders on the enclosure in the other MRI. I could feel my breath in the enclosed MRI machine. I don’t like that I would have to be medicated previously to withstand an MRI elsewhere. Undergoing an MRI elsewhere had become a most uncomfortable experience for me.

The experience in the Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C. extremity MRI was awesome, incredibly comfortable, with great image quality. I did not need to be sedated to undergo the scan, I received a next day appointment, it was covered by my insurance plan, their MRI has received the American College of Radiology Accreditation which is the gold standard for quality, this is all huge for me, and for everyone else for that matter. Why wouldn’t I want to have my MRI scan performed at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C.? There is no reason to go anywhere else for an orthopedic extremity scan. This new MRI is really going to help our town.

“Playing Hockey has been a great source of enjoyment for me!”

One quick and fateful collision on the ice and I found myself wondering if that enjoyment could continue. From the ve

ry beginning, meeting with the Great Team of Professionals at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C. quickly eased my concerns

and made a profound difference in my treatment outcome!

I have never been a fan of what I had imagined would be an uncomfortable diagnostic MRI imaging experience. I was

anxious about staying still and not moving for a significant period of time.

What a surprise I was in for! The MRI technologist at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C., Janelle, made the MRI scan

ning experience a very good one; with my favorite music from my phone playing during my MRI Scan and with constant technologist caring during my exam in the new patient friendly state of the art Extremity MRI diagnostic unit.

My evaluation for the ACL and MCL tear, and reduction and internal surgical fixation of my tibial plateau fracture, was accomplished with excellent results! My personal experience during this treatment process can be described as all very pleasant! My experience was all very easy and very thoughtful from the get go! The care from this team was meticulous and thorough and would not have been so easy and thoughtful if I had sought care elsewhere. Thank you Janelle, Dr. Sauerbrey, and the whole team at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C!

“I only wish scoring a goal in Hockey was as easy as finding great care at Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs, P.C.”
